IHG Hotels & Resorts is giving members more flexibility this summer with a new global promotion that lets travelers choose how they earn bonus points on hotel stays.

IHG Promo

Through the latest “Pick Your Points” offer, members of IHG One Rewards can select one of two earning options:

  • 2,000 bonus points for every two nights stayed
  • 8,000 bonus points for every four nights stayed

There’s no cap on how many bonus points can be earned, which allows frequent travelers to rack up rewards quickly across multiple stays.

Members must register in advance to take advantage of the offer and stays must be completed during the earning window at participating IHG properties worldwide.

  • Registration period: May 6th through May 19th
  • Earning period: May 20th through August 31st

Members can register and book eligible stays here.

Anthony’s Take: I like that this promotion gives members options. It adds flexibility and strong earning potential for summer travel. Whether you have shorter stays or take longer trips, the ability to choose your bonus structure makes it easier to maximize points on upcoming hotel stays. I generally don’t stay more than a night or two in any hotel, so the 2,000-point option would be my pick.
