Marriott Bonvoy® members have a new way to experience one of Southern California’s most iconic landscapes. RESET Hotel, a design-forward retreat just minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, is now part of the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy.
The addition marks the first new property to join the Outdoor Collection since the platform launched in September 2025 and expands Marriott’s portfolio of nature-focused accommodations. Located on 180 acres of protected high desert in Twentynine Palms, CA, RESET sits just five minutes from the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The property also holds the distinction of being the first newly built hotel in the city in more than 15 years.
Rather than a traditional hotel, RESET offers 65 modular guest rooms that blend into the desert landscape. Inspired by minimalist architecture, each room features natural materials, expansive glass doors, and a private outdoor patio complete with a Solo Stove fire pit, daybed, and dedicated stargazing platform. Select suites also include outdoor stone soaking tubs overlooking the desert.

The property’s amenities are designed to encourage guests to slow down and immerse themselves in nature. Visitors can relax at a saltwater pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and cold plunge, gather around communal fire pits, or dine at the on-site Split Rock Café & Bar. The hotel also offers wellness programming, astronomy experiences using Celestron telescopes, and special events led by former NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratory astronomers.
RESET joins Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels in Marriott’s Outdoor Collection. Guests can earn and redeem Marriott Bonvoy® points while also taking advantage of member-exclusive rates and benefits across Marriott’s global portfolio.
Anthony’s Take: With Joshua Tree continuing to attract visitors for its dramatic rock formations, desert hiking, and some of the darkest night skies in Southern California, RESET’s addition gives Marriott Bonvoy® members a stylish new basecamp just outside the park.
