National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is coming up on August 4th. As it has done in past years, travelers (and anyone with a sweet tooth) can score a free cookie on Tuesday, August 4th as DoubleTree by Hilton celebrates. Its signature warm chocolate chip cookies will be available for anyone entering the hotel at participating locations across the United States.
No hotel reservation is required. Guests simply need to stop by to receive a complimentary original chocolate chip cookie or the brand’s allergy-friendly version while supplies last.
The iconic cookie has become synonymous with the DoubleTree by Hilton experience and welcomes millions of guests each year. The brand says more than 20 million cookies are enjoyed annually (made with over 1.2 million pounds of chocolate chips). The famous cookie has also made history. In 2019, it became the first food baked aboard the International Space Station. During the pandemic in 2020, DoubleTree released the recipe so fans could recreate it at home, and in 2023 the hotel chain introduced an allergy-friendly version to welcome even more guests.
Last year, the space-baked cookie earned a permanent place in aviation history when it went on display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia.
