American Express Travel is expanding its premium hotel offerings with the addition of more than 350 new properties to its Fine Hotels + Resorts® and The Hotel Collection programs to bring the combined portfolio to more than 3,400 hotels across 116 countries.

The expansion coincides with the 35th anniversary of the Fine Hotels + Resorts® program and reflects growing demand among Platinum Card Members for unique, experience-driven accommodations around the world. The newly added hotels span a wide range of destinations and travel styles (from luxury retreats and historic landmarks to culinary hotspots and adventure-focused escapes).

Selman Marrakech

Among the notable additions to Fine Hotels + Resorts® are Selman Marrakech in Morocco, an upscale equestrian-inspired resort popular for milestone celebrations; ESPACIO Nagoya Castle in Japan, which combines contemporary luxury with views of the city’s historic castle; and ROKI Collection Queenstown in New Zealand, offering access to outdoor adventures ranging from heli-skiing to hiking and wine touring.

Casa Lucia

Joining The Hotel Collection is Casa Lucia, Meliá Collection in Buenos Aires. It provide travelers with easy access to the Argentine capital’s renowned dining scene. Eligible Platinum Card Members booking through American Express Travel continue to receive a range of travel benefits. Reservations at Fine Hotels + Resorts® include perks such as daily breakfast for two, guaranteed 4:00 PM late checkout, and other property-specific amenities. Guests booking The Hotel Collection for two or more consecutive nights may receive a $100 property credit, along with room upgrades, early check-in, and late checkout when available.

Cardmembers may also have access to special promotions at select participating hotels, including complimentary night offers on eligible stays. The expanded collection aligns with American Express Travel’s latest travel trends research, which found that travelers are increasingly prioritizing authentic experiences, destination-focused itineraries, and memorable accommodations as part of their overall journey.

Anthony’s Take: With the latest additions, American Express continues to strengthen its premium travel portfolio, offering cardholders an even broader selection of luxury hotels and resorts across the globe. I am a fan of these programs and love the $600 credit that comes with my Platinum Card® from American Express.
