SkyTeam has officially opened its newest branded lounge at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and established a flagship European location while expanding its global network of premium airport spaces.

The lounge is located on the fourth-floor mezzanine of Terminal 3’s non-Schengen international zone and spans approximately 5,920 square feet with seating for 126 guests. It is designed for First Class, Business Class, and SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers seeking a relaxed pre-flight experience.

The space blends modern comfort with nature-inspired design elements and offers panoramic views of the airfield. A range of amenities is available, including shower facilities, high-speed internet, a soundproof phone booth, a dedicated relaxation area, and a private VIP section tailored for both productivity and rest.

Dining is a central feature of the lounge experience. Guests can enjoy a curated selection of freshly prepared local and international dishes throughout the day. A live cooking station and digital ordering system via QR code allow passengers to request hot meals on demand. The menu emphasizes locally sourced ingredients and regional specialties (complemented by a selection of German beers and wines).
The lounge will serve eligible passengers departing on international flights operated by SkyTeam member airlines including China Airlines, China Eastern, Delta Air Lines, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, Saudia, and Vietnam Airlines. It is operated in partnership with Global Lounge Network and opens three hours before the first SkyTeam departure (and stays open until the final departure of the day).
SkyTeam continues to grow its lounge footprint worldwide and offers access to more than 750 lounges across its member airlines and branded network. In addition to Frankfurt Airport (FRA), SkyTeam-branded lounges are also located at Dubai International Airport (DXB),
Santiago’s Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL), São Paulo/Guarulhos-Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport (GRU), Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD), and Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
Patrick Roux, CEO of SkyTeam, said:
We are proud to welcome travelers to our new lounge in Frankfurt, a key hub in the heart of Europe. This opening reflects our continued commitment to enhancing the airport experience and delivering greater value for our member airlines’ most loyal customers. The new lounge combines comfort, quality and thoughtful design in one of the region’s most important aviation markets.”
Anthony’s Take: It’s always interesting to see competing alliances open lounges where they do not have a strong presence. Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is dominated by Lufthansa and Star Alliance like Air France and SkyTeam has a stronghold at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) (and Star Alliance has a lounge there).
