American Airlines is updating its complimentary snack offerings to give Main Cabin travelers more choices with a mix of sweet and savory options beginning this fall.

Starting on select flights in early October, morning departures will continue to feature the airline’s popular Biscoff cookies, but Goldfish crackers will be added as an additional option. On later flights, customers can choose from Goldfish, Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies, and Peterson’s sweet and savory snack mix.
The refreshed lineup was developed based on customer feedback and is designed to better match travelers’ snacking preferences throughout the day.
The snack update is part of American’s broader effort to enhance the onboard experience, following recent announcements of upgraded inflight dining, new wine selections, and other premium offerings. The airline also plans to rotate snack options over time, with additional selections expected to debut in 2027.

American’s Chief Customer Officer, Heather Garboden, said:
Small details can make a meaningful difference in the travel experience, especially the familiar touches customers look forward to throughout their journey. As we looked at our snack offerings, we wanted to take the time to get this refresh right by listening to customer feedback and understanding what customers value most. This updated lineup brings together beloved favorites and new choices in a way that feels familiar, elevated and enjoyable.”
Anthony’s Take: I love Tate’s and am happy to see them join Biscoff. I wish that Goldfish did not contain GMOs as I won’t be eating those with the current ingredients. Overall, a win for Economy Class passengers as American keeps improving the travel experience.

The addition of Tates is interesting as that is a “premium” snack with JetBlue.
