It’s a rainy day in Tampa. I hope you’re all having a good weekend. The big news of today is that Spirit Airlines is no more. I am going to miss the low-cost carrier and am curious to see what this does to the cost of tickets on many routes. In other travel news, one of my favorite South Florida resorts got a facelift, lots of new routes were added, the Sheraton logo caught fire in Amsterdam, and more.

Gnudi 3

Airlines

I tested two meals on American Airlines, JetBlue swooped in once Spirit folded in Fort Lauderdale, Fiji Airways cut Dallas, and much more this week in airline news.

St Regis Cap Cana 115

Hotels

I reviewed the St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, Marriott had some IT issues, a new hotel opened in Rhodes, and more this week in hotel news.

Star Alliance Guangzhou Lounge Space

Lounges

Star Alliance opened a new lounge in China this week in lounge news.

TSA PreCheck Touchless 1

Travel News & Destinations

NYC has table games, the TSA expanded Touchless ID screening and offered a discount for folks under 30, and more this week in travel news.
