The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is rolling out a limited-time promotion aimed at younger travelers. It offers a $20 discount on TSA PreCheck® memberships for new applicants aged 30 and under.
Available throughout the month of May, the promotion reduces the cost of a five-year TSA PreCheck® membership to between $56.75 and $65 (depending on the enrollment provider selected). The offer is designed to coincide with graduation season and the start of peak summer travel.
TSA PreCheck® allows travelers to move through airport security more quickly without removing shoes, laptops, or liquids. The program has grown to more than 24 million members and is widely considered one of the most valuable travel conveniences in the United States.
To take advantage of the discount, applicants must begin the process online through the official TSA website, choose an authorized enrollment provider such as IDEMIA, CLEAR, or Telos, and complete an in-person appointment at one of more than 1,300 enrollment locations nationwide. Once approved, travelers typically receive their Known Traveler Number within three to five days.
The promotion is only available to new applicants who complete enrollment between May 1st and May 31st. Eligibility is limited to individuals aged 30 or younger. TSA encourages applicants to use only official government websites ending in “.gov” when applying. Applications can be started here.
