CLEAR has launched operations at Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) to bring its biometric identity verification technology and premium airport services to one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States. The expansion introduces CLEAR+ lanes, automated biometric eGates, and the company’s premium CLEAR Concierge service to travelers flying through the airport.

CLEAR says the launch is designed to help Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) keep pace with increasing passenger demand while creating a more seamless airport experience from curb to gate. As part of the rollout, the airport becomes one of the latest airports to receive CLEAR’s new biometric eGate technology. The automated gates allow CLEAR+ members to verify their identity in under five seconds before proceeding directly to TSA physical screening.

The company says the launch is part of a broader nationwide rollout plan that will bring eGate technology across its airport network by 2026. CLEAR currently serves more than 8.2 million active CLEAR+ members with more than 41 million total members across its identity platform. The service is available at 61 airports nationwide.

The company says its expansion into Northwest Arkansas reflects the region’s rapid economic growth and increasing air travel demand. Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) has experienced significant passenger growth in recent years as the region continues expanding through major corporate employers, tourism, and population growth.

Unfortunately, I’ve just about stopped using CLEAR. I’m keeping my CLEAR+ membership since I have credit cards that cover the cost. I used to get this free from being United Premier 1K® but that was lost last year. Delta offered it as a benefit for being Diamond Medallion® and that is how I got my latest membership, but that is also being yanked in June. TSA PreCheck® Touchless has been the quickest way to go in just about every airport I frequent.

Anthony’s Take: The addition of the latest airport continues CLEAR’s broader national expansion strategy as airports increasingly invest in biometric technology and streamlined passenger processing systems to improve efficiency and security. As mentioned, I’ll remain a member but I would not pay for the service.
