For travelers who now believe ranch dressing is an essential travel companion, Kraft has come up with a solution. The company has announced plans to release a limited-edition “TSA-Compliant Ranch” kit, designed specifically for travelers who want to take the condiment on the road without running afoul of airport security rules.
The quirky travel accessory comes packaged with a clear, Transportation Security Administration (TSA)-approved quart-sized bag, a supply of Kraft Ranch packets equivalent to more than a full bottle of dressing, and a ranch bottle-inspired luggage tag for fans eager to display their condiment loyalty.
The promotion follows a wave of viral social media videos showing international soccer fans trying ranch dressing for the first time and developing an unexpected fascination with the distinctly American favorite.
Even the TSA joined the conversation online, posting the slogan “One World. One Ranch” while reminding travelers that ranch dressing is considered a liquid and therefore subject to standard carry-on restrictions. The agency also joked about travelers attempting to consume oversized containers of ranch before reaching security checkpoints in order to comply with liquid limits. While Kraft has not yet announced an official release date, the company says additional details about the TSA-Compliant Ranch kit will be shared soon through its social media channels.
Anthony’s Take: For now, it appears that America’s favorite dressing has officially become a travel accessory for World Cup fans returning home. We’ll have to wait on pricing.
