CLEAR has expanded its airport footprint with the launch of its services at Indianapolis International Airport (IND).  The rollout marks CLEAR’s newest market in the Midwest and introduces several new offerings designed to streamline the airport experience, including CLEAR+ Lanes, biometric eGates, and the premium CLEAR Concierge service.

At the center of the launch are CLEAR’s new automated eGates, which allow CLEAR+ members to verify their identity in less than five seconds before proceeding directly to physical security screening. The company says the technology is designed to reduce wait times and create a faster, more seamless airport experience. CLEAR plans to continue deploying eGates across its network as part of a broader rollout scheduled through 2026.

In addition to expedited screening, Indianapolis travelers can now access CLEAR Concierge, a premium curb-to-gate service that provides a dedicated escort from airport arrival through security and directly to the departure gate. The service is aimed at business travelers, families, and frequent flyers seeking a more personalized airport experience.

CLEAR said the expansion supports the airport’s reputation for customer service and “Hoosier Hospitality” while also contributing to regional economic growth and job creation. The launch is part of CLEAR’s continued nationwide expansion and investment in biometric identity verification technology. The company currently serves more than 8.2 million active CLEAR+ members at 62 airports and has over 41 million total members across its broader secure identity platform.

Unfortunately, I’ve just about stopped using CLEAR. I find the lines slower and the employees spend more time chatting than helping passengers. I’m keeping my CLEAR+ membership since I have credit cards that cover the cost. I used to get this free from being United Premier 1K® but that was lost last year. Delta offered it as a benefit for being Diamond Medallion® and that is how I got my latest membership, but that is also being yanked in June. TSA PreCheck® Touchless has been the quickest way to go in just about every airport I frequent.

Caryn Seidman Becker, CEO of CLEAR, said:

As one of the nation’s top-rated airports, IND travelers expect a smooth, predictable journey. We’re delivering that with CLEAR+ Lanes, biometric eGates, and on-the-ground support – from Ambassadors to CLEAR Concierge – to give Members a seamless, stress-free travel day they can enjoy.”

Anthony’s Take: With Indianapolis International Airport (IND) now joining the network, travelers departing from Indiana’s largest airport will have access to CLEAR’s latest generation of identity verification and premium travel services. I just wish the gates would roll out faster as the employees working many airports are awful.
