SWISS is giving First Class dining a playful twist this summer by serving a hot dog at 35,000 feet. The airline has introduced Bastardo, a specially crafted hot dog created in partnership with Frau Hund, as a limited-time summer offering for SWISS First passengers. While hot dogs are not typically associated with premium cabin dining, SWISS is presenting the classic comfort food with the same care and elegance expected from a First Class meal.

The move adds a more relaxed and unexpected option to the airline’s high-end inflight dining experience, proving that luxury travel does not always have to mean caviar, tasting menus, or white-tablecloth formality. Available throughout the summer, Bastardo gives SWISS First passengers a fun seasonal alternative while still fitting into the airline’s polished service style. This hot dog is only available until September 1st.

Anthony’s Take: For travelers lucky enough to be seated in SWISS First, it may be one of the more memorable inflight meals of the season: fine dining, but with mustard.
