After we landed on an American Airlines flight from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) (review here), we had a short amount of time to connect from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) on British Airways. We flew what British Airways cals Club Europe (it’s Business Class) and it was nice for the hour-long flight to France.
Anthony’s Take: The flight was short, but the service was good and we were served a meal. Wi-Fi worked and cost a little more than $2. Checking in on the app was easy, boarding was orderly, and my only complaint was that the lavatory was filthy. Check-in online was simple and we had boarding passes in my Apple Wallet before the flight.

I booked three tickets from British Airways directly. These each cost $385 for seats in Club Europe.

Boarding
The flight boarded on time and was quite orderly. There were lanes for each boarding group and staff checked passports and tickets before letting anyone join the queue. Passengers with disabilities were boarded along with families with children. Group 1 (which we were in) boarded next. British Airways boarding for short-haul flights is as follows. Group 1: Club Europe, British Airways Club Gold members, oneworld® Emerald members; Group 2: British Airways Club Silver members, oneworld® Sapphire members; Group 3: British Airways Club Bronze members, oneworld® Ruby members AerClub Silver, Platinum and Concierge members; Groups 4-5: Euro Traveller (Economy Class), According to seat row number.

Seats
The bulkhead was booked when I purchased these tickets. We were in seats 4A, 4C, and 5A. These are standard Economy Class seats with the middle blocked. The legroom is terrible and this would not have been pleasant for a longer flight.

The middle tray/seat blocker is a good additional surface to use.

Each seat had a tray table and a menu (along with a safety card).

There were individual lights and air nozzles overhead.

Power outlets were under the seats (USB-A and standard).

Food
Foreign carriers always impress me. They are able to serve a full meal in the time it takes US airlines to serve Biscoff cookies. A bottle of water was delivered shortly before we took off (pictured above). A choice of vegetarian or beef options were presented once in flight.

The tray included a cold beef and potato dish (which was delicious). The beef was perfectly cooked and the potato salad had great flavor. A citrus dessert and a bread roll rounded out the meal.

Beverages were also offered. Flight attendants even offered refills (the flight time was less than an hour). I had a ginger ale. Some snack mix was served with it.

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi was available for purchase. It cost £1.82 for the flight and worked well.

Lavatory
The lavatory smelled horrible. Someone before me did not flush. The sink and toilet just looked worn and dirty.

I did like the art in the lavatory.
Service
The flight attendants were friendly and constantly interacting with passengers. It was a short flight and they hustled throughout.
Overall Impression:
This was a short flight, but a good one. The food and service were both impressive. I wish the seat had more space, but next time I’ll book earlier to get us the bulkhead.
