I had the opportunity to try out one of United’s latest First Class meal offerings while flying back to Tampa International Airport (TPA) today from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The Parmesan Gnudi were a dense yet satisfying choice and this one is widely available as it does not need to be pre-ordered like some other current selections.

Parmesan Gnudi 2

The Parmesan Gnudi are described as having “sundried tomato pesto, pecorino veloute sauce and Pine nuts.” Gnudi are Italian dumplings from Tuscany. They are similar to gnocchi (generally a bit lighter) and made primarily of ricotta cheese (and sometimes spinach). They are often referred to as “naked” ravioli as what you’re eating is the filling minus the pasta.

The meal started with mixed nuts and my usual: ginger ale.

The tray included a green salad, a bread roll, and Magnolia Bakery’s Jetstream Dream pudding (which I have mentioned in other reviews that I do not like). The gnudi were a bit dense, but they were quite tasty. The sauce was pretty strong, but I enjoyed it and found myself dipping my bread in it once finished. I did not bother tasting dessert because I know I don’t like it. We’ll be out of 2026 soon enough and it will disappear.

Anthony’s Take: Would I order this again? Yes. Would I say that I would go out of my way for it? No. It’s a solid choice and a good vegetarian option if you’re not eating meat.
