Delta Air Lines is ending service on three routes from New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) less than a year after the flights debuted. The affected routes were all announced in May 2025 and launched in September of last year.
The cancelled routes to/from New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), include:
- Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
- Memphis International Airport (MEM)
- St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL)
JetBlue offers nonstop flights between New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The other two routes will not have options from the New York airport. New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) will continue to offer a mix of nonstop options to these destinations from American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United Airlines.
The cuts further refine Delta’s network at New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), where the carrier continues to focus on international flying and some high-demand domestic markets while facing intense competition from JetBlue Airways, American Airlines, and United Airlines in the New York region.
Anthony’s Take: Delta has built an impressive international hub at the airport and nearby New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) works fine for these domestic routes.
