As I wrote about in May, World of Hyatt® has quietly rolled out a new benefit that gives its most loyal members a head start on booking award stays at some of the brand’s most popular hotels.
Effective June 30th, eligible World of Hyatt® members (including Explorist and Globalist elites, as well as those with a co-branded Hyatt credit card) can now book award nights approximately 13 months in advance. This extends the standard 12-month booking window by about one month. The new perk is not available to Discoverist members.

The earlier booking window is designed to help frequent Hyatt guests secure award availability before it becomes available to the general membership and offers a potential advantage for highly sought-after resorts, luxury hotels, and peak travel periods where award nights often disappear as soon as they’re released.
The enhancement comes just months after Hyatt implemented changes to its award pricing, which increased redemption rates at many premium properties. Under the updated award chart, some of Hyatt’s most luxurious hotels now cost as much as 75,000 World of Hyatt® points per night (up from the previous top standard of 45,000 points).
Anthony’s Take: While the extra month of booking access won’t make a difference for every redemption, it could prove valuable for travelers targeting Hyatt’s most in-demand properties during holidays, school breaks, or other peak travel periods. For most hotels, award availability is still relatively easy to find when reservations first open, but having first access could make all the difference when chasing bucket-list stays. For Hyatt’s elite members and credit card holders, it’s a welcome addition that adds tangible value at a time when award costs continue to rise.
