Hilton has officially opened reservations for the long-awaited Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch, a luxury hotel set within one of London’s most iconic landmarks. Guests can now book stays beginning March 1st (though Hilton says earlier availability may be released as the hotel approaches its planned autumn debut).

The opening marks a major milestone in the transformation of Admiralty Arch, the Grade I-listed landmark situated on The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace. Commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and designed by renowned architect Sir Aston Webb, the building has long served as a ceremonial gateway to London but has never before welcomed overnight guests.

The new Waldorf Astoria will feature 114 rooms, suites, and residences spread across the landmark’s 200,000-square-foot footprint. More than half of the accommodations will consist of expansive residential-style suites and residences with names inspired by the building’s history and naval heritage, including the Nelson Suite, St James’s Residence, and Victory Residence.

The property is also set to become one of London’s most significant new dining destinations. Acclaimed chefs Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud will lead the hotel’s culinary offerings (bringing a combined eight Michelin stars to the project). Smyth’s fine dining restaurant, Coreus, will focus on Britain’s coastal heritage with sustainably sourced seafood and seasonal ingredients while Daniel Boulud’s rooftop Café Boulud will offer all-day dining alongside sweeping views of Buckingham Palace and St James’s Park.

Additional facilities will include a luxury spa with treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, and wellness facilities, as well as a grand ballroom highlighted by a restored nine-meter Murano chandelier.

Anthony’s Take: As one of the most ambitious hotel restoration projects ever undertaken in London, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is expected to become one of Hilton’s flagship luxury properties globally when it opens its doors. Reservations are now available with rates reflecting the property’s status as one of the most exclusive new luxury hotels in the United Kingdom.
