Delta Hotels by Marriott® has over 120 locations across North AmericaAsiaEurope, the Middle East, Central America, and the Caribbean. I used to stay at the location in Raleigh Durham monthly (full review here) and have stayed at other locations as well. The hotels are modern and comfortable (they work well for both business and leisure stays). Now, the hotel brand will launch for the first time in Times Square.

The new property will be located at 340 West 40th Street in Times Square and it will feature the clean aesthetic that the brand is known for delivering. The 310 guest rooms include premium finishes across the bed, lounge area, desk, and bathroom. All rooms also feature complimentary Wi-Fi and bottled water.

One of the things that I love about the brand is the Delta Pantry. It’s open to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Elite members for continental breakfast items, beverages, and snacks 24/7. I snagged quite a few Kind Bars and Rice Krispie Treats from the Raleigh location.

George's Nephew

The Delta Hotels by Marriott® New York Times Square will offer travelers three dining options: in-room dining, small bites and drinks at the lobby bar named, “George,” and a full-service restaurant named “George’s Nephew.”

Manny Rappenecker, Vice President and Global Brand Leader of Delta Hotels by Marriott, said:

The debut of Delta Hotels by Marriott in New York City marks a significant leap forward in our brand’s growth journey. Championing key essentials for the highest impact, this new property in the heart of Manhattan is a testament to our unwavering ‘Simple Made Perfect’ mission. With an unrivaled central location and a purposeful streamlined design, Delta Hotels New York Times Square caters to seasoned travelers who value autonomy, quality and expect nothing but the best in their travel experiences.”

Anthony’s Take: I look forward to checking out this hotel when it opens. I’m a fan of the brand and the location is convenient when I need to be on the west side of New York City.

If there are any complaints, they should blame Delta Airlines Skypesos and add that they are now under Marriott management since the problem happened. 😂 haha

Looks like they converted the Staybridge that was there (later TBA) and removed the kitchenettes. Should still be decently large rooms given it was an extended stay hotel, even if it was in Manhattan.
