Air Canada is making it easier and more affordable for travelers to reach Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) with the launch of a new City Shuttle service connecting downtown Montréal to the airport for just $9 CAD one way (plus applicable taxes).
Developed in partnership with The Landline Company, the shuttle begins service today and offers 37 daily departures between the Palais des congrès de Montréal and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL). The service is timed to connect with Air Canada’s extensive domestic and international flight network.
Designed to provide a faster and more predictable journey, the premium buses use the highway’s dedicated high-occupancy vehicle lanes and a private airport entrance to reduce travel times by up to 25 minutes during peak traffic.
Passengers departing from downtown can relax in a dedicated waiting area at the Palais des congrès before boarding. At the airport, they proceed directly to check-in, baggage drop, and security. Shuttles depart every 15 minutes during the morning peak and then every 30 minutes until 9:00 PM.
Travelers arriving at the airport can board the shuttle outside Door 7 on the departures level after collecting their luggage. Return trips operate every 15 minutes between 5:15 AM and 6:45 AM, followed by departures every 30 minutes until the final shuttle at 10:00 PM.
The service uses Quebec-built Prevost motorcoaches equipped with 48 reclining leather seats, extra legroom, Wi-Fi, power outlets, tray tables, and onboard lavatories. Children under 15 ride free when accompanied by an adult. To provide additional peace of mind, Air Canada says passengers with a scheduled connection of at least 95 minutes who experience a shuttle delay will be eligible for complimentary flight rebooking (subject to availability).
Anthony’s Take: The new City Shuttle expands Air Canada’s multimodal transportation strategy by offering travelers a convenient alternative to driving or taking a taxi while improving access to one of the airline’s largest hubs.
