As someone who calls Tampa International Airport (TPA) home during the winter, it’s always exciting to see another nonstop route added to the airport’s growing map. The latest comes from Breeze Airways, which will launch new 1x daily service between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) on January 5th.

The new route gives Tampa-area travelers another convenient option for reaching one of the country’s most popular leisure destinations while offering Las Vegas visitors easy access to Florida’s Gulf Coast. Southwest already offers this route, but I’m happy to see Breeze join the party. I’ve flown Breeze Airways to Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) before, but it had a stop in Huntsville International Airport (HSV). Not a big deal as Breeze does not make you deplane, but this is even better.

The addition continues Breeze’s steady expansion at Tampa International Airport (TPA), where the airline has been growing its presence with a mix of leisure and underserved routes. Las Vegas joins a network that has helped position Breeze as an increasingly important player at Tampa International Airport (TPA). It will offer 37 nonstop destinations from the airport across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Anthony’s Take: Tampa is my favorite airport and as it continues to grow as one of Florida’s busiest, adding another nonstop destination only strengthens its position as a convenient gateway for travelers across the Gulf Coast.
