Plaza Premium operates over 250 locations in 70 international airports across 30 countries. Yesterday, the lounge operator announced an exciting new concept at Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKG) Sky Bridge. Intervals is a first-of-its kind airport bar with premium cocktails and dining in a truly unique setting: the world’s longest airside bridge.

Passengers in Hong Kong can enjoy cocktails and grab a bite to eat while marveling at the views of the air field below. The Sky Bridge sits around 92 feet above the ground and offers visitors the opportunity to take in the entire airfield.

The cocktails consist of groups of miniature drinks (known appropriately as flights of cocktails). Intervals’ drinks program centers around how much time a guest has to spend in the lounge. Experiences range from 15 to 45 minutes. Intervals also offers mini bites to complement these beverages with an elevated and global mix of flavors.

The Intervals name comes from the idea that time becomes fluid while traveling and “that key actions are measured in intervals of time.” Whether that’s the time to get to the airport, clear security, get to a gate, or the time between when boarding commences and ends, it’s all about intervals. This all comes together through local partnerships, elegant interior design, and the unique Sky Bridge view.

Mei Mei Song, Director of Global Brands and Transformation at Plaza Premium Group, said:

Our commitment is to make travel better and we are grateful that Hong Kong International Airport has always offered a platform for us to drive new concepts to uplift the passenger experience. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary this year, it is fortuitous that we are able to work together again to introduce a new experience by creating a world-class airport bar that is a destination in itself. We hope everyone can take a moment and treat themselves to their favorite tipple, over some good food with spectacular views of the airport, giving passengers a new way to spend their time at the airport.”

Plaza Premium Group launched the first-ever independent airport lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) in 1998 (over 25 years ago). This project gives passengers another reason to be excited about the airport and its expansion to accommodate an additional 30 million passengers annually.

Anthony’s Take: Hong Kong is my favorite global city. I cannot wait to get back and will look forward to visiting Intervals when I do travel there.

Do PP members get access? It is measured? Do something cost more? Is food free only for Chase PP (no Amex)? Could use more info here.
