Earlier today, I wrote about my current feelings around credit card-run airport lounges. (Spoiler: I’m not feeling particularly fond of them today.) Mastercard is now expanding its premium airport lounge strategy with the rollout of its new “Taste by Priceless” (also branded in some markets as “Taste of Priceless”) dining-focused airport lounges designed for high-end cardholders.

The network currently includes two open lounges:
- Hong Kong International Airport (HKG): Terminal 1 on the Level 7 mezzanine near Gate 40, adjacent to the Kyra Lounge (this used to be the Chase Sapphire Lounge)
- São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU): Terminal 3, past passport control
A third location is also planned for Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez (MEX).

Unlike traditional airport lounges centered primarily around seating and refreshments, Mastercard’s “Taste by Priceless” concept places a stronger emphasis on upscale dining experiences.
The lounges feature:
- À la carte dining
- Chef-curated tasting menus
- Locally inspired cuisine
- Signature desserts and cocktails
- High-speed Wi-Fi
- Workspaces and relaxation areas
- Power outlets throughout the lounge
Complimentary access is primarily reserved for Mastercard’s ultra-premium World Legend tier, which launched in 2025 as Mastercard’s response to Visa Infinite. The most common cards with this designation are the Citi Strata Elite, Bilt Palladium, and Citi AAdvantage Globe.
Eligible World Legend cardholders receive:
- Unlimited visits
- Access for up to three guests at no additional charge
- Additional guests can enter for: HKD $700 ($85 USD per person)
Meanwhile, World Elite Mastercard holders and World Mastercard holders can purchase access for the same HKD $700 ($85 USD per person). Children aged two and under receive complimentary access when accompanied by an eligible cardholder.
Access is only permitted with:
- A valid Mastercard World Legend, World Elite, or World card
- A same-day confirmed boarding pass
- A valid passport
The name on all documents must match the primary cardholder. Access is limited to within three hours of departure and remains subject to lounge capacity and operational availability. Mastercard notes that passport and boarding pass information is used only for access verification by the lounge operator and is not retained by Mastercard itself.
Anthony’s Take: It will be interesting to see reviews around these lounges now that they’re open. The initial images and concept sound good. I like that this is limited to a few credit cards.
