While flying to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), I had the chance to check out the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Express, which is located in the Terminal 1 transborder departure area. The small lounge was right across from my gate and a great spot to get some work done.
Anthony’s Take: While the food and beverage options are limited, the lounge was quite empty when I visited. There is plenty of seating, Wi-Fi, and enough to grab and go before one of the quick commuter flights that departs from the 193 Commuter Terminal. The lounge opened in 2019 and is a nice addition to the other four offered by Air Canada in the airport.

Bar
Half of the buffet is dedicated to beverages with beer, a refrigerator filled with soft drinks, and liquor was being brought out as I was leaving. This is all self serve.

Water was near the windows.

Coffee machines, tea, and condiments were at the opposite end.

Food
Breakfast and then lunch/dinner was being served during my visit. The buffet had several cold dishes, oatmeal, soup (not out during my visit, but being brought to the buffet), salads, chips and salsa, yogurts and fruit (pictured above), muffins, snacks, and cookies across both meals.

Double Chocolate Muffins

Oatmeal

Sandwiches and salads

Tortilla Chips and Pico de Gallo

Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Seating & Decor
The design of the lounge is pretty minimalist. It has lots of seating and I had no issue finding space.

There was lots of work space.

Some more comfortable chairs were near the front.

I liked the views outside.

Amenities
This lounge offers free Wi-Fi, a computer and printer (which I did not see), a departures board (pictured above), and the food and beverages mentioned.
Overall Impression:
This lounge was good for getting some work done before my quick flight to Cincinnati. I’ll return when taking one of these express flights. Service and amenities are limited, but the employee I encountered at the desk was quite pleasant. There are no restrooms in the lounge, but there are some nearby.
