It’s January 1st. This means that just about every loyalty program has reset their counters and everyone is sitting back at the starting line with zero miles, points, dollars, nights, or segments. It’s always jarring to see the counter at zero, but it also gets me ready to start planning my 2024 travel.

As I outlined in my last status recap (more here), I finished the year with the following status:

  • Delta Diamond Medallion
  • United Premier Platinum
  • Spirit Gold
  • JetBlue Mosaic 3
  • Hyatt Globalist
  • Marriott Titanium Elite
  • Hilton Gold

This lineup will have me covered throughout the year. I am curious to see how my experience as a Delta Diamond Medallion and United Premier Platinum go this year as this is the highest level I have achieved with Delta and lowest with United.

2024 Travel Wishlist

Looking ahead, I’d like to take the following trips in 2024:

  • Costa Rica: I booked this trip for February. We’ll be staying at the Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo and W Costa Rica – Reserva Conchal.
  • Hong Kong & Taipei: I am chomping at the bit to get back to Asia (I have not been since 2019). I want to get back to Hong Kong (my favorite city in the world) and to Taipei (it’s been years).
  • Italy & Albania: We have been going to Italy each year for quite a while. This year, I want to go to Bari and then head over and check out Albania (both Tirana and the beach at Dhërmi).
  • Las Vegas: I’ll be going several times for work, but my husband wants to take a trip here (and my mother in law also wants to go).
  • Montréal: I want to try Lynx Air and Porter Airlines. Both have flights from Tampa (Porter will require a connection in Toronto).
  • San Francisco: I went last year and need to get back to see friends. I miss San Francisco (I used to spend every other week there).
  • Exuma: We love Exuma and I plan to go back again this year.

We’ll see how many of the above I get to in 2024. I’m sure I’ll add to the list as I find sales and other good redemptions.

Anthony’s Take: It’s a new year and another opportunity to get out there and travel. Where are you planning to go in 2024?
