Delta Air Lines confirmed this week that it will open its next Sky Club® at American’s southeastern hub, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). This is good news for Delta flyers and should help alleviate some of the crowding in the Centurion Lounge by American Express at the airport.

It’s being speculated that the new Sky Club® will be located in Concourse A, which will open in the fall. This will be part of an expansion that will also add 10 new gates. No word has been released on the size of the lounge, seating capacity, or amenities.

Delta confirmed the rumored lounge to The Charlotte Ledger, with a spokesperson saying:

Delta Sky Club® is looking forward to opening its first-ever location in Charlotte next year. We look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.”

The new Sky Club® will join the Centurion Lounge by American Express, two American Airlines Admiral’s Clubs, and The Club CLT.

Anthony’s Take: Delta runs some of the best lounges in the United States. This will be a welcome addition for Delta flyers and might make the others up their game.
