Just in time for the busy holiday travel season, CLEAR is expanding with a pilot program that allows CLEAR Plus members to use their memberships internationally.

Members of CLEAR Plus who are flying out of Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) will be able to use a dedicated RESERVE lane at YYZ without the need for a reservation through December 31st. Toronto is currently one of the top international destinations for CLEAR Plus members. Those using RESERVE lanes save up to 30 minutes per visit.

RESERVE powered by CLEAR 2

Non-CLEAR Plus Members will be able to use YYZ Express for free by reservation only. With RESERVE, passengers traveling out of Toronto can reserve a dedicated time slot in the security line for their party, which gives them a more predictable travel experience and reduces wait times. I’ve written about RESERVE before (more here) and it has served over five million free reservations (as of September). This is a great, free option for travelers looking to speed up their security experience.

Travelers looking to try out the pilot program when flying out of Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) should look for the YYZ Express signs at the airport and present the QR code found in the upper corner of the free CLEAR app to the lane attendant for access. You can check if your flight is eligible to use these lanes here.

Anthony’s Take: I’ll be flying from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) next month and will report back on the experience using my Clear Plus membership there.
