American Airlines is continuing its investment in premium travel with plans to build a new, significantly larger Admirals Club® at Nashville International Airport (BNA) in the new Concourse A.

The upcoming lounge will span approximately 17,400 square feet, making it the largest airline lounge at the airport and nearly three times the size of the airline’s current space at the airport. Designed to provide a more spacious and refined environment, the lounge will offer travelers an upgraded place to relax, work, or relax before departure.

The new facility will feature sweeping views along with a design inspired by Nashville’s music heritage and the natural beauty of Tennessee. Among its most distinctive elements will be outdoor terraces overlooking the runway and an indoor balcony that provides views of the concourse below to reflect the city’s social and welcoming character.

This project is part of American Airlines’ broader initiative to modernize and expand its Admirals Club® network across its system. New and renovated lounges are being developed to reflect the identity of their host cities while maintaining consistent standards of comfort, hospitality, and amenities.

Construction on the Nashville lounge is expected to begin in 2027. During the build, American Airlines will continue operating its current Admirals Club® location in Concourse C, Level 4 to ensure uninterrupted access for eligible customers.

Beyond its physical design, the Nashville lounge is known for its unique touches that connect with the local community. One notable tradition involves a “celebrity guitar,” which collects signatures from artists and public figures passing through the airport before being donated to a nonprofit chosen by the lounge team. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to community engagement and meaningful impact.

American’s Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design and Strategy, Rhonda Crawford, said:

The new Admirals Club® lounge at BNA reflects American’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the travel experience. This lounge is designed to give customers the spirit of Nashville while enjoying the comfort, amenities and service they expect from American.”

Anthony’s Take: It’s great to see American investing in its lounges. We have seen multiple recent announcements about new and refreshed spaces. These will be key if it wants to compete with Delta and United.

The “largest-ever Admirals Club at Nashville airport” headline is a bit of bait…leaves uncertain whether it’s the largest ever Admirals Club, or whether it’s the largest for Nashville.

This would be more clear:

“American Airlines Plans Nashville’s Largest-Ever Airport Lounge”
