Eurowings is expanding its premium travel offering this winter by adding its Premium BIZ Seat across its fleet.
The airline is also introducing the Premium BIZ Seat on select European routes where demand for extra comfort is highest. Travelers will be able to book the upgraded experience on flights between Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) and Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP), and London Heathrow Airport (LHR), as well as on Berlin services to London and Mallorca. These seats will be implemented on all eight of the aircraft has in its fleet.

The redesigned cabin replaces the traditional front-row seating layout with a more spacious 2-2 configuration, reducing the number of seats in the premium section while providing wider seats, additional legroom, greater recline, adjustable leg rests, and USB charging ports.
Passengers booking the Premium BIZ Seat will also receive enhanced onboard service including a welcome drink, refreshments, and complimentary catering. On Dubai flights, the experience is further upgraded with pillows, blankets, amenity kits, and meals served on porcelain tableware.
Eurowings said the expansion follows strong customer feedback from a year-long trial of the product on its Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) to/from Dubai International Airport (DXB) route. As a result, the airline plans to equip its entire Airbus A320neo fleet with the new premium cabin configuration during November 2026 with the first retrofitted aircraft entering service on December 1st.
Max Kownatzki, CEO of Eurowings, said:
Comfort and relaxation in the air should never be taken for granted – and we’re making them the new standard for business travelers and leisure guests. With the Premium BIZ Seat, we’re among the first airlines in the world to introduce a genuinely comfortable seating experience on short-haul continental flights, including longer medium-haul routes. It’s designed for all guests who want to make flying more comfortable and relaxed. While other airlines are adding more and more seats to their aircraft, we’re giving our guests more of what makes flying easier: Space, privacy and an experience that feels genuinely special. That’s our response as Europe’s leading Value Airline.”
Anthony’s Take: Tickets for the Premium BIZ Seat are now available through the airline’s website, mobile app, and other booking channels. I love that these seats are being installed and wish all European airlines offered similar versus Economy Class seats with blocked middles.

Ironic that Lufthansa’s low cost subsidiary is putting real business class seats on short haul planes while premium Lufthansa itself continues to go with the three across configuration.
