It had been a while since I last ordered the Cheese Enchiladas on United Airlines. Last night’s flight from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) gave me the chance. I think I prefer American’s Chicken Enchiladas (taste test here), but these were a fine meal at 35,000 feet and a marked improvement on past United meals.

The meal was served on a single tray with a bread roll, green salad, and apple cake. The Cheese Enchiladas were soft. I wish they had a bit more spice, but I enjoyed them. The semolina roll was warm and tasty. I also enjoyed the apple cake and it’s great that United is serving something that is seasonal (I was so sick of the Pie in the Sky cookies that seemed to be served for years). I would order this meal again and recommend trying it if offered.

Anthony’s Take: United is continuing to improve its food quality. My husband commented that it’s gotten much better. Catering has been one of my biggest issues with the airline and improvements are greatly appreciated.
