United first added “Signature Dishes” from its hubs in 2024. I have tasted many of them and it looks like they are continuing to rotate in new choices. I’ve shared my reviews of other meals including Los Angeles (here and here), Washington DC (here), Houston (here), Newark (here and here), Denver (here) and Chicago (here, here, and here). Thursday, while flying from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) I had the opportunity to taste the newest San Francisco Signature Dish.

The Grilled Sweet and Spicy Shrimp are described as “grilled sweet and spicy shrimp with Singapore style stir fried noodles, gai lan, green onion, and carrot.”

The meal started with mixed nuts and a choice of beverage. I had ginger ale and cranberry juiced mixed.

The tray was served with a bread roll and mixed green salad along with a lemon tart for dessert. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the noodles were delicious. I loved the heat and found that the spice made the dish so tasty.

I have become a fan of this dessert, but would like to see some rotations as it is now being served on every flight.
Anthony’s Take: I wish I flew from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) more often. This was a great meal and one I hope to have again.
