Canadian low-cost carrier, Lynx Air, announced two new routes to Tampa International Airport (TPA). The airline will begin flying from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) on November 16th.

Tampa will be the sixth US destination served by Lynx Air. The airline also flies to:

  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO)
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)
  • Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)

Lynx Air wants to offer 66 total weekly flights to Tampa with eventual service from Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver.

Merren McArthur, Lynx Air’s Chief Executive Officer, said:

We are thrilled to connect sun-seekers from Ontario and Quebec to Tampa Bay, one of the most vibrant destinations in the US. With beautiful beaches, world-class entertainment, and cultural experiences, Tampa Bay offers something for everyone.”

Lynx Air rebranded from Enerjet on April 7, 2022. It serves 17 destinations across North America, with five of them in the US (soon to be six with the addition of Tampa). The airline currently has seven Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in its fleet with 50 737 MAX on order. It plans to have ten aircraft flying by the end of 2023.

Anthony’s Take: We’ll be back in Tampa this winter and might check out one of these flights to Montreal or Toronto for a weekend getaway. Welcome to Tampa Bay, Lynx Air.
