After our time in Cebu, we were headed to our final destination in Asia for this kickoff to 2026: Taipei. We flew EVA Air on one of its Hello Kitty Jets (the AV nerd in me has wanted to do this for some time) and stopped by the Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 2 at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) before boarding our plane to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). The lounge was fine except for the fact that the air conditioning was not working and it was hotter inside than in the terminal.

Access
You need to take an elevator down one level to get into the lounge (there was a Philippine Airlines Lounge across the hall that was closed). Access is granted to Priority Pass members and those traveling Business Class on Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, China Eastern, Emirates, EVA Air, Korean Air, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Vietnam Airlines. It is also possible to get in with a whole list of credit cards and paid access is available for $12 for 30 minutes. Priority Pass members are limited to a maximum stay of three hours.

After exiting the elevator, head down the hall.

A desk to verify credentials is down the hall before reaching the lounge.
Anthony’s Take: This Plaza Premium Lounge was not crowded, offered a nice buffet, and we had no problem finding seats. Part of me wonders if it wass empty because it was so hot inside. The air conditioning was not working and we were seating just sitting there. Staff was friendly although we were not in the lounge long.

Bar
A small bar was on the wall of the main section of the lounge. Wine, beer, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and coffee were offered here.

Lemonade and flavored water

A refrigerated case with bottled water had a sign that there might be a charge for it.

Food
Lunch/dinner was being served when we visited the lounge. The buffet was pretty sizable and offered everything from made-to-order soup to sandwiches, hot items, salads, desserts, and more.

Chicken and fish

Noodles and vegetables

Rice

Made-to-order soup

Salad ingredients

Bread and a toaster for guest use

Desserts

Seating & Decor
There was a good amount of seating in the lounge. Spaces for relaxing and working were available (I liked the booths on the one wall). It was pretty empty during our visit and we had our pick of places to sit. There really was no decor to speak of in the lounge.

More seating

There was plenty of space in the dining room to have meals.

Amenities
The lounge offered free Wi-Fi, a shower suite (it costs money to use and was occupied), restrooms, a departures board (pictured), a children’s play area, as well as the food and beverages mentioned above.

The children’s play area was near the entrance.
Overall Impression:
The lounge was fine for the 45 minutes we stayed in it. It would have been even better with air conditioning and I felt for the staff that had to stay in the hot room all day.
