As I wrote about last week, JetBlue Airways will be opening its second lounge, known as BlueHouse™, later this week on August 27th.
Located in Terminal C (across from Gate C25), the 12,000-square-foot lounge features spaces for dining, relaxing, working, and socializing, all inspired by Boston and New England. It will be open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Guests can enjoy locally influenced cuisine, craft cocktails, New England beers, specialty coffee, high-speed Wi-Fi, quiet work areas, and unique touches such as a hidden candy room and a game space celebrating Boston’s sports culture.
The opening also marks an expansion of lounge access. Beginning August 27th, customers traveling on Mint or Mint Flex fares will receive complimentary entry to BlueHouse™ before departure (this adds another premium benefit for JetBlue’s flagship cabin).
That’s the good news. The bad news is that like United with its new Polaris® fare classes, JetBlue also revealed that it will soon introduce a new Mint Base fare. The lower-priced option is designed to make Mint more accessible, but will not include BlueHouse™ access, complimentary advance seat selection, or flexible ticket changes.
The Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) lounge is part of JetBlue’s broader JetForward strategy to enhance the customer experience with more premium offerings both in the air and on the ground. The airline says it currently operates more than 133 daily departures from Boston to 68 destinations, including 25 international routes and multiple daily nonstop flights to Europe.

Anthony’s Take: I’m excited to fly Mint and try out one of JetBlue’s lounges some time in the future. I’ve never gotten around to it, but it has definitely been on my list and the new lounges look great.
