Last month, I wrote about a traveler who was denied entry into the United States. She was detained and forced to fly back home to the Dominican Republic. Her dog was not allowed to stay with her and subsequently got lost at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Well, some good news this weekend as Maia the dog has been found and is being reunited with her owner.

Paula Rodriguez, Maia’s owner, had taken to social media with an emotional plea while searching for her treasured pet.

Airport officials posted yesterday on Twitter/X that Maia was found hiding near the North Cargo facilities. She is reportedly in good health, being sent to a vet for examination, and then being returned to Ms. Rodriguez.

Anthony’s Take: I’m happy to report some good news. With Maia missing since August 18th, I was guessing that something happened or that someone took her. Great news that she is being reunited with her owner and headed home.
