I recently purchased a $500 Delta gift card and received a free $75 Best Buy gift card with it. That deal is dead, but there are two new ones today that might be of interest. I view these deals as free money (or gift cards) because I know that I’ll be flying Delta in the near future. Yes, by using a gift card you give up the bonus opportunity of putting airfare on your credit card (i.e. 5x Membership Rewards points with The Platinum Card from American Express), but you gain a gift card and end up ahead.

Delta is offering a free $20 Starbucks gift card with the purchase of a $250 Delta gift card. The offer says that supplies are limited to the first 1,100 purchases. The deal runs until May 15th if that threshold is not met before that date.

Anthony’s Take: Both of these offers provide a nice bonus for Delta fliers. If you have upcoming plans to book a Delta flight than this is a no brainer. I’ll be taking advantage of both offers.
