The small town of Dunedin (located next to Clearwater, FL) offers up Christmas cheer in a way that is purely Florida. Each year since 2011 (with a few missed due to the pandemic), residents take to their golf carts for a Christmas parade. Over 400 golf carts participated this year. They’re decked out with lights, inflatables, costumes, snow and bubble machines, music, and more. It’s nice to see people get so into the holiday spirit while being able to take advantage of the lovely Florida weather.
The parade route runs through downtown Dunedin.
The fire department and Santa kicked off the parade.
A Christmas Story-themed cart.
Tons of lights on this cart.
Tiny cart, big snowman.
Pretty silver-and-blue themed cart.
A cart with a Whoville theme.
Snowflakes on the back.
Anthony’s Take: If you find yourself in this part of Florida next year, check out this fun and festive parade to get you in the mood for the holidays.
