I’ve written a lot about CLEAR and find that it’s a good membership to have in your travel toolkit. The service continues to expand with new airports added almost monthly. CLEAR has saved me tons of time through the years. Having CLEAR® Plus ensures that I will get through security quickly and I don’t even need to take out my ID. Now, CLEAR is testing a new feature for CLEAR® Plus members that will save them time when checking bags.

A test is underway at Denver International Airport (DEN) that is included in the current CLEAR® Plus memberships (which cost $189 annually). CLEAR’s Bag drop is open daily from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Passengers need to drop bags at least one hour before their flight to try out this feature.

CLEAR Bags

This curbside bag drop service allows enrolled travelers to fill out a form in advance and then head to CLEAR’s dedicated bag drop stand outside Door 600 West to get their bags tagged and taken for loading on their flights.

This is currently only available for domestic departures on Delta Air Lines and United Airlines flights. This is a trial and CLEAR has not said that it will roll it out to other airports that it currently serves with its other service.

Anthony’s Take: I never check bags, so I will not be using this service. If you do check bags in Denver, this could save you some time and get you through checking bags and then security even faster.
