Delta Air Lines has reached another milestone in its digital transformation journey with the installation of fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi on its 1,000th aircraft. This means that approximately 75% of Delta’s fleet is now equipped with seamless, gate-to-gate connectivity powered by T-Mobile.
SkyMiles® Members on more than 1,000 Delta aircraft can utilize the free service on every flight operated by these aircraft. The expansion reflects years of investment aimed at redefining how customers stay entertained, informed, working, and connected in the air.
At the core of this effort is Delta Sync, the platform powering Delta’s connected onboard ecosystem. Delta Sync enables a more personal travel experience that goes beyond basic internet access. Through Delta Sync Wi-Fi, passengers unlock members-only offers and exclusive content during their flights. Delta Sync seatback, meanwhile, transforms traditional seatback screens into smart, intuitive entertainment hubs designed to feel more like a home TV experience.
Delta continues to expand its entertainment partnerships as part of this evolution. New platforms such as YouTube and Crunchyroll have joined the onboard lineup to complement existing options like Paramount+. Together, these offerings allow customers to enjoy familiar entertainment in the air while also discovering exclusive offers and experiences for after they land.

In the coming months, Delta Sync seatback will extend to all Boeing 737-900 aircraft. A limited rollout is scheduled to begin early next year. Currently, Delta Sync seatback is available on more than 300 aircraft across six different aircraft types, which account for roughly 45% of Delta’s total in-flight entertainment options. The rollout is also ongoing across the Boeing 737-800 fleet. Further expansion is planned for 2026, when Delta Sync seatback will debut on the Boeing 767-300 and Airbus A350-900. This marks the first time the experience will be available on wide-body aircraft to further elevate the onboard experience for long-haul travelers.
Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design at Delta Air Lines, said:
Delta’s commitment to delivering connectivity for every customer has been game-changing, both for our customers and for the industry at large. We’re turning our planes into platforms, where customers can stay entertained, connected and informed from takeoff to landing. Delta Sync is the enabler that makes these personalized experiences and exclusive offers possible.”
