This week, Hawaiian Airlines opened its second Premier Club at Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG). This second lounge will give guests another option for relaxing or working before a flight.
The new Premier Club measures 1,175 square feet and offers charging stations, Wi-Fi, and locally-made snacks and beverages by Hawaiian Chip Co. and Lion Coffee. The lounge, near Gate 15, is tiny and can only hold 36 guests, but the two lounges combined (the other is near Gate 17) should provide adequate space for the guests with access to these lounges.
Hawaiian’s newest lounge is the carrier’s sixth Premier Club in Hawaii. Other locations include:
- Hilo International Airport (ITO) (Below Gate 6)
- Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) (2nd Floor Inside Secure Area Near Gate A18)
- Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport (KOA) (Next to Gate 10)
- Lihue Airport (LIH) (Approximately 50 Feet From Gate 5)
- Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG) (Across From Gate 17)
Access is granted to:
- North America and Neighbor Island First Class Hawaiian Airlines guests
- Pualani Platinum and Gold members
- Premier Club members
Johanna Franco, Travel Experience Manager at Hawaiian Airlines, said:
We recognized the need for additional space for our guests traveling out of OGG and began the nine-month process to open a second Premier Club lounge. We’re excited to continue to provide our guests with an elevated travel experience, whether it’s at our airports at the start of their journey or once the are comfortably onboard our aircraft.”
Anthony’s Take: It might be small, but it’s nice to see Hawaiian investing in its lounges within Hawaii. We’ll see how long it is before Alaska Airlines members can access these lounges.
