Alaska Airlines announced today that it’s continuing to expand in Mexico with two routes this winter. These include La Paz International Airport (LAP) and Monterrey’s General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY).
The Seattle-based carrier will be the only US airline flying to La Paz International Airport (LAP) when it starts year-round service in February (up to 3x weekly). Alaska last flew this route in 2013. Its daily, nonstop flights to Monterrey’s General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY), which is Mexico’s second-largest metro area, will also begin in February. Both will be operated with Embraer E175 aircraft with 12 First Class, 12 Premium, and 52 Economy Class seats.

Alaska Airlines and its regional partners fly to more than 120 destinations across the United States, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Mexico. The airline offers the most flights, seats, and nonstop routes to Mexico. This winter, Alaska will fly to Latin America and the Caribbean more than any other carrier from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This includes almost 16 average daily departures this winter to 15 cities throughout the region.
