United Airlines is having a mystery sale this week with daily offers for discounted award seats to surprise international destinations. The first one popped up on Monday and offered a good redemption for trips to London in the next few months. On Tuesday, a new promo (limited for 24 hours) offered discounted award seats to Paris. Yesterday, the destination was Amsterdam and today it’s Frankfurt.

United Adventure Week Day 4

United flies to Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA) from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Denver International Airport (DEN), Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Until midnight tonight, you can snag a roundtrip award ticket for 50,000 MileagePlus® miles roundtrip (plus taxes and fees).

Roundtrip Economy Class redemptions to Frankfurt from the US generally cost around 60,000 miles. With this promo, you’ll save at least 10,000 miles.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Eligible travel dates: January 10th to March 20th
  • Eligible fare class: United Economy® only (Basic Economy not eligible)
  • Only roundtrip fares originating in the continental U.S. are eligible (origin in Alaska or Hawaii not eligible)

Anthony’s Take: It’s the off season to visit Frankfurt, but it’s a great city to connect to just about anywhere in Europe thanks to United’s close partnership with Lufthansa. If you don’t mind the long flight in Economy, this represents a good deal when redeeming your miles.
