Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has added 29 new member properties in the first quarter of 2026. This has pushed its global portfolio past 700 hotels across 100 countries. The expansion includes a mix of newly opened and upcoming boutique hotels with destinations spanning Europe, North America, Asia, and beyond.

Highlights include new properties in Ireland and Italy, alongside unique openings in Panama, India, and France. The collection is also expanding into new destinations such as Key West, Santa Monica, Palm Springs, and Avila with a strong focus on independently owned hotels that reflect local culture and design.

Many of the new additions emphasize immersive travel experiences, ranging from eco-retreats and wildlife lodges to heritage estates and coastal villas. The portfolio continues to grow in response to increasing demand for more personalized and meaningful stays.

Anthony’s Take: I love SLH properties and I have two stays planned this summer in Italy. With continued global expansion and a focus on distinctive properties, SLH is reinforcing its position as a leading collection of independent luxury hotels. I hope some of these become bookable through Hilton.
