Early last month, I wrote about an American Airlines passenger who stormed off of a plane shouting about another passenger who was “not real.” The video raised more questions than answers and even Carrot Top had his take (he was on the flight). Now, The New York Post is reporting that the woman has been identified and the full story has been revealed.

Tiffany Gomas, went viral for her epic tantrum and had many questioning if she saw a ghost, an alien, or something else. The truth is much less salacious. Gomas got into an argument with her family and accused them of stealing her AirPods. She stormed to the front of the plane during her rant and was removed by American Airlines staff.
Because of her claims that the plane was not safe, it had to be rescreened. All of the other passengers had to deplane and wait for personnel to redo security procedures. Police arrived at the gate and Ms. Gomas was still visibly upset. American denied her from flying on the flight from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and law enforcement escorted her out of the secure area of the terminal. Possibly realizing what she had done, she tried several times unsuccessfully to sneak back through security. After a few failed attempts, she went outside to catch an Uber and police gave her a citation for criminal trespass. She was never arrested or taken into custody, but the embarrassment from this viral video seems a fitting punishment.
Anthony’s Take: A momentary outburst has made this woman the fodder for many memes and videos. She caused a bit of an inconvenience for the other passengers that had to be deplaned and hopefully learns something from this experience.
