A new luxury escape rooted in ancient Greek history is set to debut this summer. Hyatt is preparing to open the Parian Chronicle, which is a mythology-inspired resort on the island of Paros on September 1st. The property will mark the arrival of the Destination by Hyatt brand on the island while blending cultural storytelling with modern design and upscale hospitality.

Paros Exterior

Located in Kampos, just a short drive from Paros Airport, the 50-room resort draws its inspiration from the ancient Parian Chronicle (a historic marble inscription that recorded significant moments in Greek history). This concept of storytelling shapes the hotel’s identity and creates a retreat that connects guests to the island’s heritage while offering a contemporary travel experience.

Pros Grand Suite

The Parian Chronicle will feature a mix of rooms and suites (many designed with private terraces or pools that overlook the Aegean Sea). The architecture reimagines traditional Cycladic design with a softer, more modern approach while incorporating whitewashed structures alongside natural stone, warm wood finishes, and muted earth tones. The result is a calm, textured environment that emphasizes light, space, and connection to the surrounding landscape.

Guests will find plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind throughout the property. A central pool area will offer sweeping views and a poolside bar. The Nipson Spa will provide wellness treatments inspired by ancient Greek traditions. The spa experience is designed to focus on holistic well-being, integrating natural elements and restorative practices.

Paros Dining

Dining at the resort will center around local flavors and seasonal ingredients. The on-site restaurant, NAAO, will serve Greek cuisine that highlights the agricultural richness of Paros and the broader Cyclades region. The culinary program will also include collaborative experiences with local producers, tastings, and communal dining options that reflect the island’s culture.

As part of the Destination by Hyatt collection, the Parian Chronicle aims to deliver a boutique, design-led experience that reflects the spirit of its location. The brand is known for its independent-style properties that prioritize local character while maintaining a high standard of luxury.

The hotel is already accepting bookings starting September 1st with rates beginning at $718 per night for a king room with a private pool. As a Category 6 property within the World of Hyatt® program, award nights will be available for 21,000 to 29,000 points per night.

Anthony’s Take: This is an island that I have never visited. I want to check this hotel out. The opening comes as Paros continues to gain attention as a rising destination within the Cyclades and offers an alternative to more crowded Greek islands. With its blend of history, design, and modern comfort, the Parian Chronicle is poised to become a standout addition to the island’s growing luxury hospitality scene.
