We spent Thanksgiving night at the Hyatt Regency JFK Airport at Resorts World New York before our early flight to Aruba the next morning. We arrived at the hotel late and did not get to check out most of the property or its amenities. A suite upgrade was a nice surprise and made our brief stay that much more enjoyable. The hotel is connected to Resorts World New York, which offers tons of slot machines. The hotel is convenient when you need to be near New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), but note that there is no shuttle.
Anthony’s Take: The staff was friendly and the suite upgrade was nice. I like that this hotel is modern and has a full casino. Our visit only lasted around 10 hours, but we enjoyed our time at the hotel and would return again if we had an early flight. The hotel opened in 2021 and it still feels new.
I booked a 1 King Bed room using a World of Hyatt® free night award. The cash rate was $274 plus taxes and fees. These fees include a $25 Destination Fee that is waived for Globalists. The hotel falls under Category 4 with award rates for standard rooms ranging from 12,000 to 18,000 points.
I noticed (on the app) while we were riding to the hotel that we had been upgraded to a 1 Bedroom Suite with 1 King Bed.
Transportation to/from the Hotel
We had rented a car and returned it to New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The Uber Comfort ride took around 25 minutes to drive the 2.8 miles. The traffic was terrible and we crawled all the way to the hotel. The ride cost $40.
Location
The Hyatt Regency JFK Airport at Resorts World New York is located next to Aqueduct Race Track. There is not too much around the hotel other than that. There are restaurants, a food court, and the casino on site for a few dining options.
The hotel entrance is near the Sugar Factory and that is the best place to request an Uber to or from the hotel.
The center atrium was filled with this beautiful tree and floral arrangement.
Check-in
We arrived at the hotel 1round 10:30 PM. Check-in was speedy and we had keys within a minute. We did not need a late checkout and the lounge was closed. We would not be able to take advantage of the lounge or breakfast based on how early our flight out was the next morning.
The hotel has a $25 plus tax Destination Fee. This was waived for me as a Globalist and not mentioned at check-in. Inclusions can be found above.
I like that the hotel has a separate line for Globalists.
The lobby has some seating divided into several sections.
This area was near check-in.
The Hyatt Regency Club was closed while we were at the hotel. It’s located down the hall from reception.
We did not get to enjoy the lounge, but this photo from Hyatt shows what it looks like inside.
The area past the Regency Club offered lots more space to work and relax.
The elevator lobby was clean and modern.
The hallways also felt like they were well maintained.
Ice and vending machines were in the hallway.
1 Bedroom Suite with 1 King Bed (501)
There are 400 rooms and suites at the hotel.
The suite opened with a full bath near the entrance. It held a single sink, toilet, and glassed-in shower.
The toilet was close to the vanity.
A bar of Le Labo soap and body lotion were on the counter near the sink.
We did not use this shower, but it was a decent size.
More Le Labo toiletries were on a shelf in the shower.
A table was in the hall past the first bathroom.
The living room was to the left. It held a couch, chair, and some tables. A TV was mounted on the wall across from the couch.
A cabinet held the mini fridge as well as the coffeemaker.
The coffeemaker, coffee pods, water, and condiments were on the counter along with cups and an ice bucket.
The refrigerator was empty for guest use.
The safe was also found here.
The bedroom was across from the living room. It held a king-sized bed with two nightstands and a desk.
Another TV was mounted across from the bed.
A desk was located in the corner.
The closet held an ironing board, iron, slippers, and a luggage rack.
The second bathroom was located off of the bedroom. It included two sinks, a toilet, tub, and a glassed-in shower. This bathroom was much more spacious than the other one.
Some toiletries were found on the counter.
The toilet was well spaced.
The shower was spacious with good water pressure and temperature.
More Le Labo toiletries were on the shelf in the shower.
A tub was also in the bathroom. We did not use it during our visit.
Public Areas & Amenities
The hotel has a fitness center, multiple event rooms, a market, a casino, and the Hyatt Regency Club. Restaurants are located in the casino half of the complex.
The casino is fairly large and was pretty crowded on Thanksgiving night.
The market offered all sorts of grab-and-go food and beverages.
Overall Impression:
The Hyatt Regency JFK Airport at Resorts World New York offers a good location near the airport, great elite recognition, and a beautiful, modern design.

I stayed there a few days ago with some family in different rooms under GOH bookings and once again really enjoyed the place. I’d used a confirmed suite upgrade (expiring soon so use it or lose it) so I finally got to see a suite, and it was lovely. The club lounge was extremely nice, as usual for this hotel with very good breakfast and evening food and drink.
Like you I wish there was a shuttle bus but that’s really the shortfall I can think of offhand.
Looks like a great property! The transportation situation is insane, though. Apparently there was a proposal to add a southbound track to the Aqueduct subway station, which would allow quick connection to the AirTrain, but it hasn’t happened.
