LATAM announced in June that it would start flying between Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) this month. Now, the carrier has increased the schedule from 3x weekly to daily starting in March 2024.
LATAM Airlines Peru will introduce 3x weekly service between Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) on October 29th. This route will have a Boeing 767 with Business and Economy Class available. Flights will be on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will will complement Delta’s existing daily service.
LATAM Airlines will increase its new Lima (LIM) to Atlanta (ATL) route from 3x to 7x weekly starting March 31, 2024.

Starting on March 31st, this service will become a daily offering. Having just visited Peru in September, I can attest that it is a great place to visit. Lima is a fun city to explore. If you travel across Peru, Machu Picchu is also incredible. Just watch out for altitude sickness as we were out of service for a few days and pretty sick during the latter part of our trip.
Anthony’s Take: Demand to Peru must be there for LATAM to adjust its schedule this early (or Delta is planning on dropping the route and ceding it to its partner here). This has not yet been announced, but similar changes have happened (like Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to/from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) being given over to Air France).
