Capital One offers some of the best lounges in the United States. The gorgeous location at New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is one of my favorites (review here). A small fire last week caused the lounge to close and a date for reopening has yet to be announced.
The lounge remains closed as of today, September 8th. There has been no news coverage of the fire, its cause, or the damage that the lounge endured. Posters on Reddit indicate that employees are inside the lounge and hopefully it opens again soon.
Anthony’s Take: I hope the lounge is able to resume operations soon. It’s a great space and one that I want to revisit in the future. Capital One has really set the bar for bank-operated lounges and it continues to wow.
