Back in June, I wrote about the acquisition of six of the Me and All Hotels brand from Lindner Hotels to further build out Hyatt’s presence in Europe. With this deal, Me and All Hotels became a standalone brand within Hyatt’s portfolio and another one to try for its Brand Explorer promo (where you can earn a free night for every five brands tried). The new brand has quintupled in rooms between 2017 and the end of 2023. Now, the first location outside of Germany is opening in Flims, Switzerland.

Me and All Hotels offer central locations, urban design, leading-edge technology, and vibrant public spaces. They appeal to city and business travelers as well as urban locals. Local businesses focused on gastronomy, music, art, and start-ups provide new experiences like pop-up kitchens, product demos, and more.

Currently, there are six Me and All Hotels locations in Germany. These include:

  • Duesseldorf
  • Duesseldorf-Oberkassel
  • Mainz
  • Hanover
  • Kiel
  • Ulm

The first hotel outside of Germany will be located in Flims, Switzerland. This will be the fifth hotel in the Hyatt portfolio in Switzerland with 47 guestrooms and 26 apartments. It’s located amidst the Grisons Alps and offers year-round recreational opportunities. The area is home to one of Switzerland’s largest ski destinations, the Flims-Laax-Falera resort, with 136 miles of slopes and 205 miles of bike trails for off-season adventures.

The hotel will also feature restaurants that offer a blend of Swiss, Mediterranean, Lebanese, and Japanese cuisines. The spa and fitness area measures more than 9,149 square feet and the hotel offers 1,442 square feet of dedicated meeting rooms. Me and All Hotel Flims will also feature a sun deck overlooking the mountains as well as après-ski, complete with DJ sets, masterclasses, and more. An in-house cinema, which serves as a multi-purpose venue equipped with state-of-the-art technology is designed for movie screenings, immersive events, and meetings.

Michel Morauw, Managing Director North EAME at Hyatt, Said:

This hotel represents a significant milestone as Me and All Hotels’ first venture beyond Germany, marking an important step in Hyatt’s ambitious expansion plans for the brand. True to the brand’s DNA, Me and All Hotel Flims will serve as a community hub in this vibrant mountain town.”

Briana Swift, RVP Development, Northern Europe at Hyatt, added:

Me and All Hotel Flims exemplifies the brand’s conversion-friendliness, with remarkable flexibility to adapt to both urban and resort destinations to create a space where locals and guests can come together to connect. Switzerland is a natural market for the Me and All Hotel brand’s debut beyond Germany, and we remain committed to exploring opportunities to expand the brand across the wider DACH region and greater Europe.”

Anthony’s Take: I had never heard of Flims, Switzerland, but it looks beautiful. It’s great to see Hyatt adding to its offerings in Europe. The loss of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has somewhat been replaced by Mr & Mrs Smith, but not entirely. Hyatt needs more options and these hotels look charming.
