W Hotels is expanding once again with a new Florida address set to open in 2027. The W Pompano Beach will offer 77 residences (including three penthouses) alongside 296 condo-suites in a 24-story tower set on nearly four acres of beachfront.

Pompano Beach is changing and going more upscale. The Broward County city will see the W Hotel join The Ritz-Carlton and Armani/Casa Residences Pompano Beach (which are coming soon).

The W Pompano Beach Hotel & Residences is being built by real estate developers Related Group and BH Group. Units will offer floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Atlantic Ocean and/or Intracoastal Waterway. Guests and residents will see amenities like 24-hour doormen, private transportation, personal chefs, grocery shopping, dog walking, and even plant care.

Unit sales will start in January with condo-suites beginning at $775,000 and residence pricing starting at $3.1 million according to The Miami Herald. Patrick Campbell, the Related Group’s Vice President and W Pompano Lead Developer, describes the project as:

It’s not the W our parents went to. It’s the W our parents want to go to now.”

If that doesn’t make you feel old, nothing will. I always think of W as Marriott’s hip brand and one that is not that old. To think of it as generational really sets a timeline I was not thinking about. The W Hotels brand launched with the W New York in 1998. About 30% of W Hotels currently have residences, but this number seems to be increasing with new builds.

Anthony’s Take: I love the W South Beach and am excited for another (quieter) option coming to the East Coast. The renderings look pretty and it’s cool to see the W brand evolving. This will be the fourth location in Florida.
