Yesterday, I wrote about the St. Regis Chicago and how it was not offering Marriott Bonvoy® elite members complimentary breakfast as a welcome amenity. Well, they have dialed this back and are now offering it!

One Mile at a Time St Regis

Ben at One Mile at a Time picked up my story and FlyerTalk discussions started around this unfortunate game that the hotel was playing. The noise must have gotten back to someone in management because the hotel is now offering this elite benefit. I called after a reader (Travel Dan) pointed out the change:

***UPDATE*** Anthony – St. Regis Chicago confirmed that they have just updated/clarified their policy on the breakfast benefit. The breakfast benefit will be offered for all elite guests. I just confirmed with the hotel manager. They are going to issue a formal press release on this. Thanks to this blog and others. You may want to call and confirm this yourself and update post! St. Regis Manager: (312) 787-3447.

I spoke with Tamara at the number above and she confirmed that the elite breakfast for Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Elite members is now served in Miru.

Anthony’s Take: While this did not benefit my stay, I’m happy to report that future guests will be able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast that they are entitled to as part of their benefits. Bon appétit!

You should have invoked the $100 compensation benefit for not receiving a choice of breakfast.
